Our Trip to Egypt
Christopher and I had an
amazing month long trip to Egypt!
I said I would let you know how
our trip went and by looking at the length of my journal, I see that to try to
do this in one article is not very realistic. I have decided to list some of the
simple yet important reminders that came to me through meditations, experiences
with Christopher, or just day to day life in a place where poverty, dirt,
con-artistry, faith, and love all walk hand in hand!

We
are perfect the way we are. |
 |
We
need to recognize and respect the whole of us which includes the sides of our self
that we, not Spirit (refer to first realization), have judged bad.
If we don't, we can not be whole and centered. |
 |
We
need to trust our intuition about people, places and situations! |
 |
We
will be shown the way that Spirit wants us to go if we are patient enough to
wait. |
 |
Situations
that may seem bad or uncomfortable are probably the ones that later will
bring us the most growth. |
 |
If
we follow our inner guidance (Spirit's guidance), we will be taken care of,
which is not the same as everything working out the way we wanted it to! |
 |
It
is okay to accept love, and we are loveable. (refer to first realization) |
 |
Don’t
judge a book by it’s cover (or a hotel by its entrance). |
 |
Homophobia
seems to be an American disease. |
 |
Bigger
and fancier is not necessarily better or more spiritual. |
 |
We
don’t need special training, or even to know what a mystical experience
is, to have one! |
 |
The
Sphinx is small compared to the pyramids, and its head seem way too small to
have been the original!
|
 |
A
person with determination can do anything. |
 |
Alexander
the great got it all wrong, we are all great, we are all the
"children" of God. |
 |
Music
is universal |
 |
If
the biscuits in Egypt are called Arabisco, maybe Nabisco stands for North
American biscuit! |
 |
I am
blessed! |
 |
Having
the belief that Spirit knows better than us, and works its magic in it’s
own way, helps release stress. |
 |
Our
wounds are better viewed through the lens of relativity. |
 |
God
will direct us if we are willing to see the sign posts. |
 |
Being
grounded and centered does not require a lot of weight. |
 |
If
you want the red haired Egyptian man at the bazaar to leave you alone, tell
him you are a priest and talk to angels! |
 |
It
is helpful to bring an issue forward into conscious awareness in order to
heal it. It loses it’s power and can then be released. |
 |
We,
as light workers, can do the best for Spirit by just shining light and
living a life that reflects God’s light within. By doing this we can
rekindle others flames better than any sermon we may choose to preach to
them!
