Cindy's Travels
Pictured here at a Mosque in Cairo, Egypt, Cindy has traveled extensively to better understand the many spiritual belief in today’s society.
Starting with getting in touch with her Celtic heritage, Cindy went to Ireland to experience the ancient sites of the Celts. She stood under a Dolmen near the Cliffs of Moher and experienced the amazing energy of Newgrange.
Just a few months later she took off for a one month backpacking trip through Egypt where she met up with the Melchizedek Priesthood for an intense ceremony in the Kings Chambers of the Great Pyramid in Giza.
She and her friend, Christopher traveled up and down the Nile to meditate in all the major temples and some not so major! The opportunity to be a part of a Sufi ceremony and being detained by the Government for going to a temple that was off limits for tourists was all part of the trip. Going to the Egyptian Siwa Oasis to visit the Temple of the Oracle, Cindy received the message that she should also go to the Temple of the Oracle in Delphi, Greece. Cindy needed to get back to work, so this was put on the back burner!
About six months after returning from Egypt, Cindy went to a three day learning class with His Holiness, The Dalai Lama in Kent, New York. The class was on becoming a Bodhisattva. She and her two friends did not intend on actually taking the vows, but after the three day class, all three of them took their Bodhisattva vows.
Less that one month later, Cindy was on a plane to Greece to fulfill her calling to go to the Delphi Oracle, as well as to follow the footsteps of Saint Paul through Greece and Saint Francis through Italy. Her connection with the Oracle was an intense experience.
While in Italy, she was able to see Saint Frances’ Cathedral in Assisi before the roof caved in! Cindy (and about 1,000 others) had an audience with The Pope at Saint Peter’s Cathedral in Rome. The combination of seeing both the Pope and the Dalai Lama within one month was life changing!
After taking almost a year off for traveling, Cindy had come to the conclusion that you can find all you need right here at home. Your spiritual life is within. Yes, all the experiences definitely enhanced her life, yet she has learned to K.I.S.S. - keep it simple spiritually!
Just because you don't need to travel to find your spiritual truth, doesn't mean travel isn't fun! Cindy has become a regular in Sedona, Arizona where she is called to Cathedral and Red Rock Crossing! Almost yearly she and her husband David stay for up to a month in early Spring. The red rock and vortex are renewing for them both.
Niagara Falls in Canada is also a strong pull for Cindy. If an element can be a totem, Waterfalls would be Cindy's. Nick-named Waterfall after a trip to see Gangaji in South Carolina, she and her friend Christopher explored the Smoky Mountains where she first shape shifted.
Cindy has also traveled to Australia a number of times and even got to swim with the wild dolphins (no touching allowed) in Melbourne. She is fascinated by the trees in the rainforest and plans to return in July 2010 for the birth of her sister's child.
