Recently I was contacted by a newspaper reporter and asked about the significance of 9/9/09

Here was my response:

 Hi Amanda
Actually 9 is a very strong number. It is the number of initiation, finishing up a cycle as well as wisdom and guidance. It relates to the Hermit card in the Tarot. A wiseman leading the way for those on the path to enlightenment.

I would expect that this date would provide a "light at the end of the tunnel' type energy. You may find individually or globally we are given the opportunity to come to a higher level of understanding and evolution. There might be a great insight or discovery from experts across the board. The "Aha" moment.

Anytime you have a double, triple (etc) number, it is considered a Master Number and strengthens the energy of the number. 99 or 999 are both master numbers as would be 11 or 111. (even 666 is a master number)

In Numerology though, you can't ignore the 20 part of 2009. if you add 9+9+2009= 2027 then 2+0+2+7=11 which brings us to a more important number. 11 is a master number and is often seen as the beginning of an increased spiritual awareness. Our intuition and sensitivities are very strong. There is also a feeling of "not being alone" which is created by the 11 looking like two people standing together.

With that said, between the 999 and 11, I feel that this date is an amazing opportunity for things to come to light that allow us to evolve and grow. It could be a scandal that comes to light that allows us to choose a better path or a coming together of like minded people to form a new agency or group for the betterment of their community.
